In 1989, after a whirlwind romance, my then husband to be and I jetted off to Hawaii and were married. My mother had just spent a year planning my sister’s wedding, and when I announced my engagement right on my sister’s heels, mom pretty quickly offered to pay for an elopement. My husband was ready to jump on the offer and, even though I had planned my wedding since I was a little girl and this wasn’t what I envisioned, I soon came onboard. So, a few short months later we traveled alone to the islands of paradise! Hawaii was beautiful! I treasure that moment in my life! As happy as I am, my elopement decision sparked a little fire inside that has smoldered over all of these years. I never miss a chance to attend someone’s wedding and I tear up at them all! I’m always moved by the beautiful flowers and the bride’s dress! I love seeing the couple’s style come through by the choices made in decor, music, and the wedding party’s wardrobe! Every wedding is unique and since my experience was so different, a part of me is filled up with each one I attend!
A couple of years ago I began to feel a calling to begin a new chapter in my life. It’s a funny twist that my journey has led me to begin building a wedding venue! I wish I had the words to convey how excited and happy I have been planning, building, designing, and surrounding myself with the beauty of all things WEDDING! My wedding planning dreams are fulfilled!
I am so looking forward to opening Sorelle – The Meadow on Deer Creek in the fall of 2019! More to come!
Blessings to all!
